La Fontaine de vie

La Fontaine de Vie uf1000 is an autonomous unit for drinking water from fresh surface water - wells, rivers, streams, lakes, backwaters, etc. If its recommended average production capacity is 480 to 600L / Hour of water drinkable, it can, in case of need or emergency, produce up to 1000L / hour. It also allows the irrigation of crops thanks to an output of 2 to 3 m³ / h of semi-filtered water.

La Fontaine de vie is very simply controlled by 3 valves allowing, depending on their position, to engage the various production cycles. The instructions for use are engraved on the front of the machine, which makes it very easy to use and understandable by all. Its exclusive double backwashing system ensures very good durability.

It has the particularities of being :

  • Totally mechanical ;
  • Without any addition of chemicals ;
  • Compact (40x60x118) ;
  • Lightweight (50kg excluding water - 60kg full) ;
  • Mobile ;
  • Extremely easy to use (the user manual is engraved on the machine) ;
  • Very little maintenance thanks to a double backwashing system ;
  • Very few consumables (estimated cost of 30,000 CFA francs / year) ;
  • All the materials used are of high quality and guarantee the strength and durability of the Fontaine de Vie whatever the weather conditions.
Sana Vivo provides training for the operators who will be responsible for the use and maintenance of the system.

Ultrafiltration

The technology used is ultrafiltration. This removes from the treated water all particles larger than 0.01 microns (10,000 times finer than a hair).

The biological qualities of the water drawn are not important because the Ultra Filtration system is suitable for stopping viruses, bacteria, germs, parasites, microorganisms and other suspended matter. This makes it possible to limit or even eradicate the public health problems linked to water-borne diseases.

The polysulfone filtration modules are designed to filter surface water as well as borehole water having satisfactory physicochemical qualities.

A simple process, ultrafiltration allows the clarification and disinfection of water in one step. The membrane wall acts as a filter for all particles larger than 10-20 nm: bacteria, viruses, pollens, algae, parasites, germs and organic molecules. The filtering power of ultrafiltration is 1000 times greater than that of the sand filter.

This technology guarantees constant quality water without taste or odor and flawless regardless of variations in the quality and turbidity of the water to be treated.

Environmentally friendly technology

The ultrafiltration process is completely mechanical: it avoids the use of chemicals and treatment waste, while maintaining the mineral balance of the water.

Ultrafiltration can treat water containing up to 300 mg / l of suspended solids (SS) in pressure filtration and up to 15 g / l in membrane bioreactors: Fresh water: spring water, groundwater, water dam, natural lake, river water. Salt water: brackish water, sea water. Waste water: domestic, industrial, urban / raw or pre-treated (tertiary filtration).

Objectives of ultrafiltration technology

Ultrafiltration to clarify.
Ultrafiltration ensures the removal of suspended solids; mineral particles, living particles, turbidity, SDI to colloids.

Ultrafiltration to disinfect.
Microfiltration eliminates all micro-organisms (bacteria, algae, etc.) and large pathogens such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia. Ultrafiltration also removes viruses. Clarification and disinfection are carried out in a single step.

Ultrafiltration to concentrate.
Ultrafiltration can also be used to concentrate suspended matter and / or microorganisms to reduce the cost of the dehydration step or to increase biological activity (case of membrane bioreactors).

For agriculture too!

La Fontaine de Vie has 2 levels of filtration. The first phase makes it possible to obtain water that is clear and healthy enough to be able to be spread on crops. This is called the Semi-Filtered phase. It is important to keep an unpolluted land to have a production without trace of pollutant.

The second phase when it gives 100% potable water. An analysis before and after passing through La Fontaine de vie makes it possible to ensure its good functionality. Users will then be able to drink the water from the filtered phase in complete safety.

The Expendables

Consumables are items that you will need to change after using La Fontaine de vie for a while.

The replacement frequency is indicated by our technicians during the installation of the machine. It mainly depends on the quality of the raw water. The more turbid, loaded with solids and more colored it is, the more frequently the filters will have to be changed.

Activated carbon
Activated carbon (or activated carbon) is a crude form of graphite.

Activated carbon has the greatest physical adsorption force and the largest adsorption volume of any known natural or synthetic material.

In La Fontaine de vie, we use Grain Activated Carbon, which are particles of irregular shapes among a range of sizes ranging from 0.2 mm to 5 mm. This type of carbon is used for liquid and gas phase applications. It is used to absorb the taste and odors odors of the water pre-filtered by the 10 micron sieve filter

These components are delivered with La Fontaine de vie and can be ordered directly from the local distributor if needed.
